Álvaro was senior lawyer at Montt y Compañía law firm, at the electric company Enel S.A. tax department and at Carey y Compañía Law firm.
Professionally, he has specialized in tax matters, advising Chilean and foreign companies in tax planning and business reorganizations, taxing defenses and mergers and acquisitions processes. His areas of expertise include also tax matters related to foreign investment, tax reports and benefits and interpretations arising from double taxation treaties. Alvaro also has wide experience in tax advising related to donations and inheritance matters.
Graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1997), he also has Master studies on Tax Law at Universidad de Chile (2001-2002).
Member of the Chilean Bar Association and of the Chilean Institute of Tax Law.
